Another startup supporting specifically open source educational applications, this one based in Phoenix. Their initial offering is around the Open Source Portfolio Initiative product, but they promise to expand this to include uPortal and Sakai support. – SWL

    So, another use of blogs emerges – a way to check references of potential consultants you wish to contract. In this case, I had only posted on this company because I found it interesting that they were commercializing support for OSPI. But low and behold, a colleague who had dealings with them in the past sent me an email giving me the skinny from his perspective. Also note, in case it hadn’t been understood, that my posting of a link to this folks was not an endorsement. I’ll let you know when I’m endorsing something!
